Stewart England & Don Padgett had no luck on roosting the night before, but on Saturday (4/25/09) Stewart scratched his slate call every 20 minutes or so. At 6:30 a.m. the Gobbler came in with one hen. Not one gobble! Don had to make the shot off the opposite hand. This is the first bird for Don Padgett in 9 years of turkey hunting. Some are saying "the bird of a lifetime" at 25lbs, with 11” beard, 1 ¼” left spur and 1 3/8” right spur. Congratulations Don!
